Tesla would release Roadster in 2020
"The Roadster is going to be one of the fastest vehicle ever made (...)"
In November 2017, Tesla not only revealed its new Semi truck but also its new Roadster. This vehicle was a secret revelation, which ended up actually stealing the show from the electric truck. Elon Musk had previously hinted in a shareholders meeting in June 2017: “I really recommend showing up for the semi truck unveiling – maybe there’s a little more than what we are saying here.”
The Roadster is going to be one of the fastest vehicle ever made with features such as a top speed in excess of 250mph, 7300lb ft of torque available at the wheels and projected acceleration figures at 0-60mph in 1.9sec and 0-100mph in 4.2sec. The engine is composed of three electric motors, one for the front wheels and two for the rears, supplied by a 200kWh battery pack.
At the beginning of the year, Tesla chief designer, Frankz Von Holzhausen, was spotted in the new Roadster on public roads. With a release date of 2020, Tesla Roadsters are going to be a more common sight.
