The vehicle of the future
This year, Knorr Bremse's is presenting the vehicle of the future at the IAA 2016 in Hanover. Next month, the global market and technology leader will be showcasing its "self automating truck" capable of driving itself into a bay for loading or unloading and automatically stopping if danger is detected. This invention could reduce damage caused during complex maoeuvring but also optimise time spent driving.
The truck is equiped with specific Knorr Bremse solutions such as innovative, intelligently networked braking, steering and powertrian systems. For instance the lorry will be equiped with a scalable brake control, which is scalable based on the customers' requirements.
Another feature will be an antomated blind spot alert, using radar and camera technology to alert the driver of any presence in front, side or rear blind spots to reduce risks of accidents.
And that's only a few of the technologies that you can discover on this future vehicle. We will keep you posted on it.
