The Macron Law
Since 1st July 2016, the French minimum wage and social regulations must be applied to foreign drivers during their journey in France (except if they only transit through France or if they are independent workers).
Drivers posted to France must keep on board a certificate of their posting and a copy of their work contract during their transport operations to and from France.
It is also necessary to appoint a French representative and provide him with several documents such as: a representative designation, certificate of posting, pay-slips and proof of payment for every driver. EuroVAT can be your French representative in order to liaise with control authorities.
Fines can be applied if you don’t comply with the “Macron Law”:
• If the attestation is not on board or non-compliant: up to 750 €
• If the employment contract is not on board: up to 450 €
• Total amount of the fines (for all drivers of a same company) : up to 500 000 €
