National Trucking Week in the UK
The third annual National Truck Week of the Road Haulage Association (RHA) took place from the 11th to the 16th of September this year! This week focuses on the haulage sector across the country to show how important the industry that transports 90% of the goods by land into the UK is to our economy.
Several events took place, such as the Parliamentary Reception on the 12th of September at the House of Commons, the Advance Logistic Support at Leicestershire's primary school and She's RHA and Auto Trader at Manchester's Auto Trader HQ to tackle diversity in the haulage sector.

This week highlighted other issues, such as the workforce shortage, which is prevalent to the haulage industry today. Government statistics show that by 2022, the industry will need to recruit 1.2 million more people. Drivers, workshop technicians, warehouse operatives, management will be required to boost the industry, hence many educational initiatives were set in place.
