Calais, one of the busiest ports linking France and the UK has observed a peak in freight vehicles in the first three months of 2017. The Port registered the best quarter in its history with an absolute record of the passage of 181,005 cargo units in March. The number of heavy goods vessels crossing through the French port increased by 11.2% compared to the first trimester of 2016.
